ChilliAd

Website

ChilliAd are the content distribution arm of ChilliBean, and were formed as a fledgling company during my placement at ChilliBean. I was asked to design and develop the website which would represent the new incarnation. The brief was to keep it very clean and simple, also to reflect and compliment the promotional material which they had already had produced.

Using the promotional material as a starting point I came up with a design that utilised the sculpture objects which had been originally hand crafted and photographed, and used them as a basis for the design. I also wanted to make the content more interactive by using the jQuery library to slide in the other content pages. When a link is clicked, the click is captured and the content is loaded in via an Ajax call, and then the animation event is triggered.

When designing this interactivity, I had to ensure that the website also degraded nicely in browsers which had javascript disabled. If javascript is disabled, the browser simply treats the links as normal links, and simply navigates to the page which has been clicked.
