Starting In Business
WebsiteClear Books recently launched a new question and answers community called Starting In Business, aimed at new and small business startups to share their knowledge about the various aspects of starting a business. Users can anonymously post questions, and the community help to answer them.
The website is powered by the open source project Question2Answer, but was in a need of a radical facelift, as the default theme is not much to look at. For this project I wanted the design to be clear and professional, and to put the focus on the purpose of the website – asking questions. Drawing inspiration from other Q&A websites, I added a speech bubble which overlaps the header of a cityscape background, making it easy for a user to quickly ask a question, no matter where they are on the website. I also extended the open source application by adding in support for Gravatars (with the help of the community).
